World Lighthouse Heritage Exhibition

Purpose

To promote understanding of nautical aids among IALA* participants, students, and the general public, through an exhibition of nautical artifacts from countries with strong lighthouse-related histories, alongside the 19th Conference of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (The 19th IALA Conference, 18.5.27 - 6.2, Incheon)

* Referred to as the 'Lighthouse Olympics', the IALA Conference is the largest international event in the field of nautical aids, held every four(4) years and rotating

by continent. The event sees 500 experts in nautical aids from 83 member-countries gather to discuss new technologies and future visions.

To give all attendees an opportunity to learn about and enjoy the science, culture, art, and history of lighthouses alongside humankind, from past to present - from Pharos, to Incheon's Palmido lighthouse - throughout the duration of the IALA Conference.
